ADRIENNE
HOLIERHOEK JOINS UVIC DEPARTMENT OF THEATRE
AS MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
Warwick Dobson, Acting Chair of the Department of Theatre, is pleased
to announce the appointment of Adrienne Holierhoek [Holy-er-hook] as
the department’s new Marketing and Communications Manager effective
April 1, 2007.
Adrienne is a communications professional with over ten years of
marketing experience in Victoria’s arts community. She leaves the Art
Gallery of Greater Victoria where she was the Director of
Communications. Adrienne has completed courses in the Cultural
Resource Management program, holds a BA Honours in Visual Arts from
the University of Western Ontario and a Certificate in Public
Relations from UVic.
Adrienne will oversee the marketing of the theatre department’s
productions at the Phoenix Theatre as well as student recruitment and
fundraising. As an instructor, she will teach theatre marketing and
provide practical work experiences to students.
Previously held positions include the Marketing and Public Relations
Manager for the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, Marketing and
Promotions Director for the University of Victoria Student’s Society,
Marketing and Public Relations as well as the Box Office Coordinator
for the Victoria Symphony Society and the Curator for the Murney Tower
Museum in Kingston, Ontario. Adrienne replaces Ann Tanner who left
the position in October for personal reasons. Anne-Marie de la
Giroday has been Interim Marketing and Communications Manager during
the department’s search for a permanent replacemen
