1) Summer Tango Showcase

Tango lovers will be treated to a FREE CONCERT of Tango music at Centennial Square
Saturday July 14th 7:00-9:30

The showcase will feature “local produce” both solo artists and groups

Centennial Square is next to City Hall, this free concert is co-sponsored by the City of Victoria.


2) Tango Showcase Fundraiser

Call for donations and volunteers for the garage sale; Saturday June 16th, 9:00-2:00

Did
you do your spring cleaning yet. Have you some “stuff” you’ve had lying
around that is intended for a charity or to put in a consignment store.
Well here is your opportunity to clear out that unused item that just
takes up space.

Donations or items for consignment will be accepted Friday June 15th 7-9 AM at #20 Douglas St, Beacon Manor. Just buzz Shirley , #33 and she will take your “valuable stuff.” Orlet us know if you need to arrange a different drop off time or for a pick up if you don’t have transportation.

Items
accepted will be most anything you would find at a garage sale; clothes
(especially retro) books, functioning computers, photography equipment,
furniture, kitchen goods, tools, posters, art etc. Consigning items
must have a minimum value of $18 value for household items must be over
$12 value for clothes. Please pin or tape your name and price if you
choose one on to your item and pick them up at the end of the sale or
they will be given to WIN.

to donate. We will also need volunteers in shifts from 8:30-11:30,
11:30-2:30. Pass this notice on to friends and family please and if you
can reply to let us know if you have something to donate.


3) Volunteers for Summer Tango Showcase

This
is a great way to be apart of an arts event, have fun and get to know
the performers at an after the event get together. We will need a small
volunteer team for security and the info table at the concert. You will
be required to come to a short meeting a week before and to be at the
concert. Shifts: 6:00-8:30, 8:30-10:15.

There
will be no exceptional duties just a few people to have on hand should
our well mannered tango listeners become a rowdy crowd or someone trips
on a step. Either event requires our security to call police or an
ambulance. Be prepared is the City’s requirement for using their venue.

Volunteers
will receive instruction from the event coordinator Kate Rhodes and
June Waters to be on the security or man the info tables. Please call
